It is believed seeds for this heirloom variety were brought to the U.S. by a “Mr. Bisignano” from Italy. It is a large paste-type tomato with variable oval fruits weighing 6 ounces to one pound. This is a great sauce tomato, but what sets Bisignano apart from other paste varieties is its wonder flavor when eaten fresh. It is our first time growing this variety and we can’t wait to taste the results.
