Principe Borghese Heirloom Tomatoes

Origin: Italy – 1910

This heirloom tomato was bred in Italy primarily for sun-drying.  The plants are described as semi-determinate, which means they are fairly compact and bushy. They are very prolific, producing lots of small, oval, plum-type fruits with dense, low-moisture flesh and few seeds.  Dry, mineral rich soil will result in the most intensely flavored fruits.
